Keep daily check-ins short and focused on flow: blocked items, aging risks, and opportunities to pair. Move cards intentionally. Avoid status for status's sake. When people leave with clear next actions, the system improves a little each day, and WIP limits feel like helpful guardrails.
Periodically step back to examine throughput, bottlenecks, and dependency patterns across teams. Invite finance, marketing, and operations, not only delivery. Shared data and stories reduce friction, expose systemic constraints, and justify policy changes. Alignment at this level strengthens local WIP discipline while accelerating end-to-end flow.
